"Today, after a 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug. When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her. She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center.”

This is worth a reblog.

I don’t care who you are or what kind of blog you have. This should always be reblogged.

9/11/01, I personally think this is one of the most amazing choice of pictures there is. It shows that people had to courage to jump from the building to their deaths,  In memory of all of those who lost their lives in the Twin Towers, The Pentagon, and the Pennsylvania fields please reblog to show your respects. This day in history will forever be remembered, both in our hearts and in our minds. Every single person that was old enough to remember this day, I bet if you asked them they knew exactly what they were doing at the moment they found out.  Pray for the families who kissed their loved ones good morning, and never returned home to say goodnight.

Just sit and think for a minute. Don’t reblog yet, don’t keep scrolling, don’t change the page. JUST THINK. What would you do, if your senses were filled like this? If the walls were crumbling before your eyes. Fire everywhere. Smoke and fumes. Screams and sirens. You’re looking around looking for a way out but you know there is none. Imagine, your last choice on Earth was which way you would end your life. Imagine trying to call your wife, husband, child, mother, father, sister, brother, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, cousin, boyfriend, girlfriend to tell them that you weren’t coming home. You would never see them again. Imagine. You see all of this. You sense all of this. Information overload. You decide to jump, because at least that way, you will have some sort of escape from the turmoil that put you in that position.

For the husband who told his wife I love you one last time before his plane went down in a field. For the wife who stopped in the stairs to call her husband to say I will love you forever. For the mothers and fathers who kissed their kids goodbye the morning they died. For the policemen who rushed in with the firemen to help get others out only to die themselves. For the soldiers who fought back and lost their lives. Today, tomorrow, ten years from now, we will still remember you.

"The way my books are structured, everyone was together, then they all went their separate ways and the story deltas out like that, and now it’s getting to the point where the story is beginning to delta back in, and the viewpoint characters are occasionally meeting up with each other now and being in the same point at the same time, which gives me a lot more flexibility for killing people."
